Bard Ventures Ltd. (the "Company") is pleased to announce that a program of geological mapping and prospecting was completed on the Laidman Property central B.C. during October of 2003. The main area of interest focused on the high chargeability Induced Polarization anomaly located in the centre of the property. The anomaly measures 800 metres in length and up to 200 metres in width striking in an east-west direction along a prominent ridge of quartz vein stockwork. The chargeability anomaly is centered upon an area of intense epithermal quartz stockwork hosting disseminated pyrite mineralization. This area corresponds to a coincident high gold soil anomaly. Sampling by previous operators of quartz-sulphide stockwork vein in the Discovery area of the Property assayed up to 8.0 g/t and 19.6 g/t gold.

The property is in close proximity to the 3Ts project of Southern Rio Resources Ltd. (See Southern Rio Resources Ltd.'s news release dated February 5, 2004.)

Diamond drill testing of the combined geochemical and geophysical anomalies is planned for later this spring.
